Annual Maintenance
Maintenance is the key to extending the lifespan of any appliance, including water filtration systems in California. When you order a water filtration system through Puragain Water, we’ll perform annual maintenance checks to keep your system in top condition.
Filter changes are one of the most important parts of maintaining any system.
A fresh filter will keep contaminants and minerals out of your water better than an old one, so it’s important to replace your filters on a regular basis. If you’re not sure if the water filters need to be changed, we can check for you.
Reverse osmosis (RO) systems have a whole series of filters and one membrane, and it can be hard to keep track of them all.
We’re happy to assess your RO filter and during maintenance, we can help you check the connections for leaks and make sure the water pressure is good.
Wear and tear can occur over time, and damage can happen unexpectedly. During our annual maintenance calls, we’ll look over all the important components to your filter and repair any issues we find.

Types of Filtration Systems
We install several types of water filtration equipment to fit our customers’ various needs. If you have water issues of any kind, these options will improve the quality of your water and make life easier.
Here are the main options we offer.
The reverse osmosis (RO) filter system uses five steps to process and clean water.
First, it passes through a sediment pre-filter, to catch dust, dirt, and any other tiny particles in the water, including microscopic ones.
The water then goes through a carbon pre-filter that removes unpleasant tastes and smells, like chlorine. The second carbon pre-filter serves the same purpose and refines the taste of the water even more.
After the pre-filtering process, comes the reverse osmosis membrane. It screens out chemicals and dissolved solids like lead and copper. Finally, the polishing filter clarifies the water.
6-stage alkaline filtration turns normal tap water into alkaline water. First, it goes through the entire reverse osmosis process to ensure that any contaminants or bad tastes are filtered out.
After the water has been cleaned, it’s sent through a mineral cartridge to add calcium and magnesium ions back in. Those ions give you the health benefits of the minerals without any of the scaling issues.
This option delivers fresh, clean water to your entire home. It includes a 6-stage alkaline filter to ensure your water is always clean, drinkable, and enriched with minerals.
The whole-house option also tackles scaling with a feature called Nucleation Assisted Crystallization (NAC). When water passes through the Filtersorb SP3, the minerals inside crystalize and become too large to cause scaling.
Water softeners are a little different from other systems. Instead of focusing on improving the quality of drinking water, they provide a solution to your issues with scaling and mineral buildup.
Soft water keeps your pipes and appliances clean so they’ll last for years. It also prevents water spots on your dishes and in the shower.
Buying a water treatment system is a worthwhile investment, and Puragain Water will help you maintain and repair it over the years.
