Types of Water Systems Available
Using filtered water for cooking, drinking and cleaning can make your home much more comfortable, and this can be achieved through a reliable house water filter system.
Hard water can leave behind residue wherever you use it, from your hair to your dishes and water heater. It may even affect the efficiency of your washing machine. Water can also contain some dissolved elements that can be harmful to your health.
We offer three options for home water filtration systems that reduce contaminants and mineral content, giving you healthier water. The installation process goes quickly thanks to our professional installers.
A reverse osmosis water filter system uses a five-step filtration process to leave you with clear, great-tasting water. The first step is a sediment pre-filter to remove tiny particles that may be in your water.
Next, the water goes through an activated carbon filter that removes anything unpleasant, like a chlorine taste or sulfur smell. The water then goes through a second carbon filter that improves the taste of the water even further.
The fourth step is the reverse osmosis membrane filter, which is key to the whole process. It filters out dissolved elements like lead, copper, industrial solvents, and other contaminants.
Finally, the water passed through a post-filter that polishes water to leave it fresh and clear. It’s a very thorough form of water filtration for the home.
This house water filtration system turns your hard water into alkaline water using a thorough process.
The water goes through a reverse osmosis water filter to start. After that, it passes through a mineral cartridge that enriches the water with beneficial amounts of calcium and magnesium. This process alkalizes the water and raises its pH will be 9.5.
The calcium and magnesium ions turn the water into alkaline water, but they won’t leave behind residue the way unprocessed water does.
The whole house filter system offers the most thorough filter package. It comes with a 6-stage alkaline system and prevents scale.
The water first passes through two carbon filters. The third step is Nucleation Assisted Crystallization, which turns calcium and magnesium into ions that won’t form scale.
Water softeners are designed to take the minerals out of your water as you use them. A softener is different from other water filter systems because it specifically removes various minerals that form hardness in the water. However, it doesn’t focus on contaminants.
Which Option is Best For You?
If you find yourself dealing with spots on your glassware and deposits collecting on faucets, chances are you have very hard water in your area.
The best way to tackle this problem is by installing a whole house filtration system. Our water filtration home system will improve your quality of life and make sure you never have to deal with scaling again.
Frequently Asked Questions
My home has extremely hard water. How can I remove the hardness?
Minerals like calcium and magnesium cause water hardness, and although these minerals are not harmful, and can actually be beneficial when in high concentrations they can cause your water to become hard.
Hard water can dry out your skin, cause scale buildup in your pipes, and leave a layer of residue on surfaces that it comes in contact with. The best way to remove hardness from your water is by installing a whole house water softener.
Is Southern California tap water safe to drink?
Although San Diego water is technically within the threshold of acceptable contaminant levels, this does not necessarily mean that there is no risk in drinking it.
Many of the contaminants found in San Diego water, although within the guidelines approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), long-term exposure to these harmful contaminants can potentially cause long-term health issues including cancer and other diseases.
It is always best to make sure that your water is treated at the point of use with a whole house water filtration system, water softener, or reverse osmosis system.
How can I remove scale buildup from my pipes?
Scale in your pipes and fixtures is caused by the buildup of hard minerals like calcium and magnesium.
A Nucleation Assisted Crystallization (NAC) whole house water softener can neutralize these mineral ions which will, in turn, prevent and remove scale-out of your home.
There are many types of water softeners available, however, we highly recommend a salt-free water softener.
Will a water softener remove calcium?
Traditionally, people have used salt-based water softeners to remove calcium and other hard minerals from their water supply.
Today, with the advancement of water softening technology, we offer a salt-free water softener that uses nanotechnology to neutralize the calcium ions, rather than removing them.
This allows the calcium and other minerals to remain in the water, while at the same time preventing them from sticking to the surfaces of your pipes, appliances, and fixtures—ultimately improving the life of your home’s water systems.
What's the difference between a salt-based softener and a salt-less water softener?
A salt-based water softener uses sodium to remove calcium and magnesium from your water. Although this method will give your water a softer texture, there are some downsides to this method.
Salt systems require a lot of maintenance, they are bulky, and they waste thousands of gallons of water a year.
A Salt-less (NAC Water Softener) uses nanotechnology in order to neutralize the calcium and magnesium molecules rather than removing them. These systems require no tank, use no electricity, and waste no water, which is especially important here in Southern California where we are typically in a drought.
What happens if I sell my house?
If you sell your house or plan on moving, don’t worry. Provided you’re moving within our service area in Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, and Ventura County, we’ll move your system one time free of charge.
