Puragain Water Cold/Freeze Preparation

As you may know by reading this, you are in a location where temperatures can drop to low levels and in most cases cause freezing. The last thing we want is for your home to have any unnecessary repairs or mishaps during these weather conditions.

Here is what we recommend to our valued clients and their Puragain Water Systems.

Opening a Faucet In The Home

It is important to keep water moving throughout the home when temperatures are extremely low. Opening a faucet will help keep the water moving and prevent freezing for your pipes.

What faucet should I open?

We recommend a faucet that is the furthest from your water main. In this case, you want to open a faucet in the home that is the furthest away from your Puragain System for easy reference.

Bypassing your Puragain Whole House System

Here is a diagram that will let you know IF YOU NEED TO bypass your unit.

Bypass Instructions and Information

If you need to bypass your unit there are a couple things you should look out for such as 3 valve handles. Inlet (Water coming from the city or supply to the Puragain System) Outlet (Water leaving the Puragain System and entering the home) Bypass (Valve that connects the Inlet and Outlet lines together) *When your system is bypassed, you will NOT have filtered and conditioned water entering the home.

If there is any issues you may have or difficulty putting your system in bypass please reach out to us here:
